Runcorn - An Industrial Town Along The Manchester Ship Canal

Runcorn is one of our ports along the Manchester Ship Canal.  It's a small town with a little bit of everything... shops, bar, takeaways and a park with a nice view of the famous Runcorn's Silver Jubilee Bridge, which crosses the river Mersey.

The church at my back is the All Saints Parish Church, an Angelican church located at the center of the town.  As most of the people living in Runcorn declare themeselves as Christian, there are a dozen other churches in the town.

This is the park overlooking the Runcorn's Silver Jubilee Bridge.  It was a misty afternoon during our visit their... it actually rained later that afternoon.

These photos were taken under the Railway Bridge, next to the Silver Jubilee Bridge, and it's a very old brick bridge which is still very much used by trains.  We tried to be artistic :) with our post... well, we tried.
