Bilbao - An Afternoon Walk

These are actually taken a couple of years ago... during one of our visits in the port of Bilbao in sunny Spain.  It was a nice afternoon, so I, and a co-worker, decided to go for a walk to a nearby town.  I could not actually remember what we bought when we get to the town.  It was our first time to go there, so we were not sure then how far or how long we gonna be walking.  Anyways, we get there, eventually, so here are the snaps... enjoy.  Viva Espana!

Runcorn - An Industrial Town Along The Manchester Ship Canal

Runcorn is one of our ports along the Manchester Ship Canal.  It's a small town with a little bit of everything... shops, bar, takeaways and a park with a nice view of the famous Runcorn's Silver Jubilee Bridge, which crosses the river Mersey.

The church at my back is the All Saints Parish Church, an Angelican church located at the center of the town.  As most of the people living in Runcorn declare themeselves as Christian, there are a dozen other churches in the town.

Eastham - An Old English Village

Eastham is an old English village located near the Manchester Ship's Canal.  It was around nine o'clock in the morning when we (I was with a friend... the one taking the pictures, hehe!) went biking to the village to buy top-ups for my mobile phone and internet connection, as well as top-up vouchers for the rest of the crew on board.  As you can see on the photos, it still very autumn here with leaves falling down from the trees everywhere, but with winter just around the corner, it was a bit cold.  Were lucky to have the chance to go around that morning even for just a short while 'coz by the time we went back to the ship, the rain started to pour... hmmm... British weather.

Irish Sea - RAF Rescue Exercise

Just this afternoon, on our way up to Manchester ship's Canal (MSC), an RAF (Royal Air Force) Rescue helicopter called our ship asking if they could conduct a rescue exercise while we are underway.  Of course, we agree, and when I went to the bridge to witness the rescue exercise, my captain informed me, that someone famous was driving the helicopter (well, not really a driver... a pilot).  You won't believe who it was... just the second in line to the throne... it was Prince William.

Ok, ok... I know I don't have the right photo to prove it... but it was really him.  And just so you know... I'm not a paparazzi! Lol! :)
Enjoy the rest of the photos...

Autumn In Hamburg

Few days ago, we were at Hamburg in Germany and the weather was really nice.  It was kind of refreshing 'coz the day before that was kind of raining and dark.  Anyways, while we were navigating through the Elbe river, I could not help but get amazed of the vibrant colors of the trees... they're like a screen saver or wallpaper from a computer.  Unfortunately, my camera is not good enough to capture that bright red, orange, yellow and green colors of the leaves... I tried anyway... and here are the photos. :)
